ESPN to air first Applington Parkersburg game

ESPN will send four commentators to Parkersburg next week for the Aplington-Parkersburg home opener against Dike-New Hartford on Aug. 28.  ESPN is going to be broadcasting the game live and also host a pregame show. It’s the first game in Parkersburg more than 30 years without legendary Ed Thomas, who was murdered June 24. Please tune in and help support Coach Thomas and A-P Falcons.

The commentators are Reece Davis, who anchors College Football Live and other ESPN programs, will call the play-by-play. Former New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs coach Herman Edwards and former Ohio State and Detroit Lions linebacker Chris Spielman will provide analysis. Reporter George Smith will be reporting from the sidelines.

  • Tragic story! We’re praying for his family!! Does anybody know if the murderers family has made any statements or anything? I havent been following the story that close and I was just wondering. Thanks!!
