The Carolina Panthers and QB Jimmy Clausen have reached an agreement just in time for the opening of training camp today. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports it is a 4 year deal.

Carolina Panthers beat writer Darin Gantt reports the max value of Clausen's deal is $6.3 million if he hits all incentives and escalators. The deal includes $2.533 million in guaranteed money.

The former Notre Dame standout will sign the contract and report today. Clausen is expected to compete with QB Matt Moore for the starting QB job this year.
