Warner resigns with Cardinals; James wants out
According to Mark Bartelstein, Kurt Warner's agent, the Arizona Cardinals and Kurt have agreed to a two year contract worth $23 million with $19 million in guarantees. Warner will receive a $15 million signing bonus and his base salary will be $4 million each of the next two seasons.
Edgerrin James has asked Cardinals General Manager Rod Graves for his release. James is hoping for a quick response since he is already entering the free agent market late, with number of his potential suitors already signing running backs. Tampa Bay, Cincinnati, and New England were considered suitors for James but they have signed Derrick Warn, Cedric Benson and Fred Taylor respectively.
