Randall Cunningham’s son dies in hot tub accident

Tragic news being reported out of Las Vegas. Christian Cunningham, the 2 1/2 year old son of former Vikings and Eagles QB Randall Cunningham has died after drowning in a hot tub in his backyard. The tragedy was first reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal

Cunningham is the pastor at Remnant Ministries and performs baptisms in the hot tub at his home, according to the newspaper. According to the article, a woman was at Cunningham’s house with several kids when she found Christian in the hot tub around 4:30 pm. The woman pulled him from the hot tub and performed CPR until paramedics arrived on the scene.

Cunningham was a class act his 3 years in Minnesota, leading the Vikings to a 15-1 record (13-1 in his starts) in 1998, while having an MVP caliber season with 34 TDs and 10 INTs.
